Here are a few things that I absolutely love—besides exercising...

This is for when I wake up with puffy eyes and have to be somewhere in ten minutes. I keep this in the fridge so it stays cold. Who has time, when they're rushing out the door, to cut up cucumbers then let them sit for 10 minutes on your eyes anyways?
It might sound a little pricy for a small tube, but I bought mine 2 summers ago. At
Benefit,
this is $28. If you click on the picture it'll take you to the Benefit site and explain more of what's inside that powerful little tube.

This goes along with the first. (You're all going to think I'm so high maintenance with my eye depuffers now!) But it's almost better. When you look tired and have blue bags under my eyes, regular concealer doesn't always do the trick.
You put this,
EyeBright
, on the skin of the corner of your eye, then rub it in down below it to cover the blue bags. The pink under tone takes away the blue under your eyes. But don't worry, you can't tell it's pink once you rub it in. It's very natural looking. This one is only $20. I've had it over two years. It's so worth it.
This next one is for all those fellow women friends who have curly/wavy/straight/who-knows-what-kind-of hair, like me.

I've finally found something I like for when I don't have time to straighten it. It keeps it wavy without that thick gel hold look. You almost can't even tell I have product in my hair. That's the main idea...right?!
It's from Aveda, called
Sap Moss Styling Spray
. I put it on while it's damp, and again once it's dry. (I do put some hairspray on afterwards as well.) I bought it at an Aveda probably around the $20 range. You can try it with straight hair too, if you still want some hold without weighing it down. (Don't look at my curly hair in this week's StrengthTuesday as a good example for this product. It will make you not want to listen to any hair advice I might have...)

I have these pants, but in capri style. What matters most is that they are
Nike Dri Fit
. They are super comfortable and last forever. I'm wearing them in this week's StrengthTuesday post if you want to see how shiny and new they still look, after 3 years :)
The material is very smooth looking. So even if I've got an extra ten pounds on me, they still look great. I bought them for $50.

Yup.
Baby Powder
. For those days that you've got some greasy hair yet still need to look presentable. Just put some in your hands, run it into your roots, and it works like a charm. I probably use this more often than I should :)
LOVED all this information! I am buying the Depuffing stuff and those work out pants....can't wait!
ReplyDeletewow. such fun information Lola! I'm going to go check those pants out right now! One always needs pants that make you feel good about yourself when working out. Thanks for sharing the beauty tips. I need all the help I can get!
ReplyDeleteHey, this is Dave's cousin, Megan! He posted a link to your blog on facebook, and here I am. And I think it rocks. (By the way, I am searching online for the Aveda spray and it looks like it may be unavailable . . . sad story. I, too, have random hair and would love to try it out!)
