Core Shmore

There's all this talk of working out your core and how important it is, but how do you really work your core? Here are a few exercises that will thrash your core!

Plank on hands

Plank on elbows

Side Plank on hands
(Modify this by going on your
elbows and knees instead)


Plank on Bosu or Stability Ball
(you can also put the bosu ball on
your elbows instead of your feet)




Side Crunches on SB

Chest Press and Chest Fly
Triceps Extension

Cable Rotations


Mountain Climbers
V Sit Ups on Bosu Ball
(Sit on Bosu, lean back so your body is straight, then
bring your knees to your chest for a V Sit up)


For the mountain climbers, get into a plank position on your hands, then bring your knees into your chest, alternating every other one. Do it fairly quick. This is a tough one.

Something you can do to make it extra challenging is to combine the first three planks. My boot camp absolutely loves this one :) You start off on your elbows, then to your hands, then shift to a side plank. Continue moving that way for about a minute. Just try it. I dare you!
