Unplanned Eating

Do you plan out what you'll eat for the week? Or at least the night before? Well you might not have it in writing, but hopefully you have an idea of what you'll eat the next day. And if not, what happens? You eat whatever you see or comes your way.

My suggestion is if you can, plan out your meals for the week. If that feels overwhelming, just plan it out the night before. It will take a little bit of time at first, but once you get in the habit of it, after a while you can just think about it and plan out each meal in your head.

This way if there is something else that comes up, say Halloween candy, or some birthday cake, or samples at the grocery store, you just say, "I hadn't planned on eating that, so I don't need to eat it." If you cave in occasionally don't make a big deal out of it and blow your whole day, but tell yourself you just ate something unplanned (instead of saying you cheated) and move on.
